The base of the stoneware vessel is 4.5" wide, tapering to 3.5" wide towards the top, where the cork lid narrows from top to bottom to fit snuggly inside the lip of the container—Unique & cute bear handle measures 1.125" tall & .75" wide. The base is made from cork to prevent surfaces from scratching and provides an easier grip to pick up the canister.
